Are those southern people in the southern states like alabama/georgia/texas ect american? -

they have southern acsents and stuff.....im one were not red necks alot of us dress emo/scene ect....barley any of us dress *redneck* as you northern people sterotype us.but i dont even know does this meen me and my girl friend are american? shes born in goergia im born in north carolina were white and speak english nothing else....what does this make us? sure we might have a bit of *irish* in our family s but stil

Yes, your American. Travel across the states and you will see there is a lot more than a north and a south. There is west coast life, east coast life, Midwest life, each state really has it s own characteristics.And there is no such thing as a pure blooded American. We all came from immigrant families at some point in our genealogy. I m Polish technically.

You are an American with a cultural back ground just like everybody else... don t obsess over labels... they re stupid... just be proud of who you are... and btw.. saying you think people in the north think you re all hicks is a generalization all on it s own ;)... I am from the west coast and I did use to think a lot of the south was full of nothing but hicks... but my bf was raised in Tennessee and doesn t have an accent... he does act a little southern but it s all good lol
