Vacation in Myrtle Beach? -

I want to vacation in Myrtle Beach sometime in March/April. Is this a good place to vacation? What are the pros and cons of it? Any advice (ie places to see, etc) Any feedback is appreciated.

ive never actually been there, but i have a friend who has and she loves it. she goes there about every summer i think and she says its definetely better than virginia beach, but i love va beach so who knows. the boardwalk is supposed to be amazing at myrtle beach.
