2-3 day tours of Yosemite National Park? -

My elderly father wishes to do a tour with his partner and all the bus tours only have an overnight stopover any suggestions?

Following is a list of several companies offering multi-day tours to Yosemite National Park. All of these tours originate in San Francisco which makes sense because SF is a major entry point into California for US and International travelers alike. If your father isn t in San Francisco he ll have to get there to join one of these tours.Extranomical Adventures (from San Francisco)http://www.extranomical.com/HTML_PAGES/YYosemite-Tours (from San Francisco)http://www.yosemite-tours.com/index.htmYosemite Parlor Car Tours (from San Francisco)http://www.calpartours.com/Yosemite%20ToGreen Tortoise Adventure Travel (from San Francisco)http://www.greentortoise.com/adventures/As an alternative, your father can drive to Yosemite Valley or a town along the YARTS route and use YARTS to enter the park. Once in the park he can take tours of the park with the park concessionaire offering this service. Below is some information on YARTS and the tours offered in the park.Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS):http://www.yarts.com/Yosemite Tours Guided Adventureshttp://www.yosemitepark.com/Activities_GIf your father can t or doesn t want to drive, can someone like yourself take him and his friend to Yosemite? A few years back I took my elderly parents and in-laws on a 17-day tour of California and Oregon. We all flew into Los Angeles where I rented a 15 passenger van (there were 9 of us plus baggage) and we drove all the way to Washington State before returning to LA. Along the way I took them to Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, Columbia State Historic Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, Lava Beds National Monument, Crater Lake National Park, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Columbia River Gorge, Mount Saint Helens National Monument, Oregon Caves National Monument, Hearst San Simeon State Historic Park and of course, Disneyland. They all had a fantastic time and it was one of their most enjoyable trips. Mind you they are world travelers but there is no substitute for traveling in a small family group.I do hope your farther and his friend find what they re looking for and are able to tour Yosemite. Give them my regards.
