How is the weather condition in ATLANTA amp; NEW YORK goin be lyk in April 2010 amp; ideas of some places to visit? -

Usually by April, the weather in Georgia has started to get nice and warm again. Hopefully it won t be too terribly humid just yet, as we ll still be coming out of winter, but it will definitely be warmer than most parts of the country. If you re coming to visit Atlanta, I highly recommend the High Museum of Art, Turner Field, the Coca-Cola Factory, maybe Six Flags and White Water! They re all fantastic places to visit and offer a variety of ideas no matter what you re in the mood for!

We generally visit NY in April during spring break. I always bring a winter coat -- and generally use it. It can be blustery. (Last April wasn t as cold .... but one never knows in advance; NY has had snowstorms in April.)Conversely, April is a terrific time to visit Atlanta. It s generally rather mild and pretty - though it could be rainy. ( April showers bring May flowers. )As far as things to do: if you ve never been to either city, follow the advice in tour guides with museums, attractions, etc. As a native New Yorker now living in Atlanta, I still enjoy going -- albeit infrequently -- to the same places tourists visit.

April in Atlanta is BEAUTIFUL. Average highs in the low 70 s, with lots of sunshine. The dogwoods will just be starting to shine. New York is really hit or miss in April. One day it will be 70 and sunny, the next will be flurries. Atlanta is the safer bet that time of year. If you have time in the summer, avoid Atlanta and hit NY or Chicago. Places to visit:Braves GameBrick Store Pub, and Sweetwater Brewery (if you like beer)Stone Mountain Park (worth going once)Lenox or Phipps Mall (if shopping is your thing)Centennial Olympic Park (still cool after 13 years)The High Museum of Art (Not sure if DaVinci will still be there, but always something good)The Fabulous Fox Theatre (Off Broadway stuff)Road Atlanta (AMA superbike races in early May)Check out creativeloafing.com before you fly in...always great concerts, festivals events

Do you know your own weather that far in advance? As far as the general climate during that time of year. Atlanta will be just starting to get hot, thunderstorms are common, but don t last all day. In New york, warm with chilly nights. Rain and cold fronts possible.
