How can I live in NYC to go to school? -

The school I want to attend is private and does not provide housing. I have financial aid to cover the tuition, but how can I survive there aside from that? Do waitresses and other side jobs make decent money?

Get an apartement not in Manhattan. Brooklyn is a great place to be now and its 5 mins by train to Manhattan plus the cool places are in Brooklyn now trust me. Brooklyn is the place to be, and yea you can support yourself being a waitress or a bartender as long as you get a roomate. Be careful though dont go on craigslist

Don t go on craigslist is very poor advise. Please don t give it any consideration. Craigslist will be a great resource for you if you can understand a scam when you see one, and don t send money to anyone you can t meet in person.
