What are some small, rural towns in Pennsylvania? -

Hi. Does anyone know of any small towns, with a lot of open space in Pennsylvania. I m writing a book and I need a perfect spot for my character to live. It needs to be a place with lots of space, not a mall in sight. Lots of lakes, animals, and all that outdoorsy stuff. Somewhere a real country girl would come from. Thank you so much :) !

Now that I m done laughing at the other answers....The most rural part of Pennsylvania is the north central part, along US Route 6. There are places where you d be at least 50 miles from the nearest mall.Potter County is nicknamed God s Country because it is extremely rural. I would choose somewhere like Galeton or Austin.

How about Washington Boro PA? It sits right on the Susquehanna river and the closest Mall is in Lancaster about 30 minutes away. Here s a picture link:http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/imHere s a picture from the corner where my grand parents lived:http://www.state-ends.com/paends/state/9
