Do Disney World or Magic Kingdom have a special price for New Years Eve tickets? -

I m going to Orlando in December and would love to spend New Year s Eve at Magic Kingdom. But I ve asked my travel agent and she says a ticket for Dec 31 will cost me $129 per person. I m looking on the Disney website and it doesn t say anything about tickets for New Year s Eve. I just see the regular price for the Magic Your Way tickets which is $79.

your travel agent is quoting you a one day park hopper ticket. (allows you to visit all four theme parks on the same day) for new years eve you really should just have a one day base ticket cuz the parks fill to capacity by noon at the latest so you will not be able to go from park to park anyways. and it sounds like you don t have any intention of doing that in the first place cuz it sounds like you just want to go to magic kingdom.they do not have a special new years eve price or anything. its the same price as always.i d advise you to just order directly from disney if your travel agent is going to jerk you around and try to get you to buy an option that he/she should know is not right for you. new years eve is literally the busiest day of the entire year so you should be prepared to arrive at magic kingdom quite a while before it opens so you can definitely get in. and don t plan on leaving the park at all until you ve rung in the new year cuz like i said before the park fills to capacity by noon and they will turn away guests and only allow more in once some guests leave. if you even leave just to get something from your car there is a chance you will not be let back in.it will be a mad house that day. expect EXTREMELY long lines and expect to be packed in like sardines. walking from ride to ride is like a long line in and of itself. and cast members are actually directing traffic with light wands saying stay to your right, stay to your right. a nice touch disney does is to had out free hats and noise makers to everyone. only problem i have with this is they start handing them out at noon so you have to listen to the noise makers for 12+ HOURS!here s just a tiny glimpse of what to expect that day:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2OrtQoeg

Sweetie, I ve been to Disney World five times and I love everything about it except New Year s Eve. In 2003 we were at the Magic Kingdom on that day. By 10 A.M. they had to close the park because of the crowd. Finally when midnight came it was standing room only. A little grandpa was trying to push a baby in a stroller and no one would move to let him by. Not that they were rude they just didn t want to lose their standing room only place. He just picked up the baby and walked off leaving the stroller behind. Even the beautiful fireworks couldn t change my grouchy mood. We ran for the buses as soon as we could to get back to our motel. They couldn t pay me to do that day again. You can always call them if you don t get anything online. I love Disney World in March at Spring Break. I ve been five times and it s worth every dime.
