I love Virginia! You re in the middle of everything there! You have the beach, the mountains, a short distance to DC, four full seasons, a wonderful wine country, tons of history, lots of diversity! I miss living there- so much to do! My husband and I could find some sort of festival to go to almost every weekend! Greek festival, Irish Festival, Bluegrass Festival, Chili Cook Off, car shows, sporting events, concerts, live comedy, etc. Charlottesville is one of our favorite areas in Virginia- when we moved to TN we chose to go to VA to get married lol!
California. You can ski in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon, if you re willing to drive far enough. Lots of history, diversity of race and opinion, arguably the best state university system there is, awesome museums and attractions (Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood Sign, Universal, Redwood Forests, DISNEYLAND), great teams, the center of the movie and television industry... it s everything anybody could ask for, in my opinion :).We got more bounce in California!
