Golden Gate toll booth question? -

So I went to S.F. today and almost blew right through the toll booth without out paying but i managed to stop right before the cameras and reverse it back to the tollbooth attendant. My question is what is the likelihood that the cameras took a picture of my license plate number as if i didn t pay, though I did pay the toll. Would I have seen a flash if the cameras went off? And if I do get a ticket for toll evasion, would it be easy to get it dropped?

You will be fine, the camera though collector didn t snapshot until collector push the button when you totally pass it without pay. It is not automatic as total fasttrak lane.

The cameras take photos of every single car that passes through the toll plaza. This is why: The photos are maintained to determine when somebody violates the toll. Many people use FasTrak transponders to pay tolls from an account, but sometimes the transponder batteries die. The cameras read license plates to see if they match a FasTrak account. If they do, the account is charged a regular toll. If not, a ticket is issued to the vehicle owner.Because FasTrak users do not come to a complete stop, the camera has to take a photo of every license plate in order to capture violators. (Or else they would speed off before the camera could snap a photo!) There is no camera flash.I am not sure whether you were registered as a toll violator. The best thing to do in this situation is ask for a receipt from the toll taker. That way you have simple proof of payment should you be sent a ticket accidentally. Hope it works out for you!

I agree if you do not have a reciept, and you get a ticket you may be SOL.

you should have got a recipt.
