CTA Blue line Forest Park Station Parking? -

I have two questions about parking at Blue line Forest Park Station:1. Sometimes if I want to pick up friends there(pick up and go), where can I temporarily pull over my car(I just sit in the car without turning off engine)? Last time, I pulled over near the back door(north exit, near the Bus 17 stop), but it is a little far. So where is the most convenient temporary pull over area near the front door(facing south)?2. Sometimes I may want to take the blue line to downtown, I learned from CTA website that it allows a 12 hour parking for $5. But how is this 12 hour calculated? E.g. if I park at 7:00am, I am sure that I can park until 7:00pm;but what if I park at 1:00pm?Do I need to leave before 12:00am or can I park until 1:00am next day?And is it like I buy a parking ticket and put it in my car after check in? If so, where can I buy the parking ticket? Thanks a lot!

1. I think that you could probably wait on the side of the entrance road to the southeast of the building entrance.2. The last (and only) time I parked at the Forest Park station, I used the lot to the north of the station. As I recall, it was a system like at Rosemont where there are machines that you key in your parking space number and pay. The machine prints out a receipt, but you do not put it on your dashboard. The parking machines are located in a shelter between the parking lot and the station.
