Where to go on a California road trip? -

I might be interested in taking a road trip through all of california (north tip to south tip or vice versa) to take photos. I know I want to go to the well known places (San Fran, Disneyland, LA, Hollywood, the Redwood forest, etc.) but I want to go to lesser known places as well. So, where do you recommend I visit?

go to a little town called springville. it s close to the sequoia national forest. it s very historical there, almost like a ghost town. worth seeing.
