What is traffic going to be like the day before Thanksgiving in Atlanta, GA? -

I am trying to figure out when my mom should come to Atlanta from McDonough, GA for Thanksgiving Day and when to take me back to North Atlanta

Traffic is a little lighter during morning rush hour, because school is out. I suspect afternoon traffic will be heavier, with people a) leaving work early and b) leaving town for the holiday. If your mom comes to Atlanta mid to late morning on Wednesday, she should be okay.

It s hit-or-miss in my experience. I d say travelling early in the morning and/or late in the evening are your best times; otherwise, you could run into lots of people doing their last minute shopping for dinner.

Atlanta traffic is usually heavy. But the best time is either late at night or early in the morning and I mean like 4 or 5. At night or really early traffic is almost non existent.

The traffic should begin to slow to a crawl sometime around 2:30 - 3:00pm on Wednesday afternoon. Expect I-75 on the southside and I-285 to be jammed by 4:00 pm.

Take the back roads avoid the interstate. Traffic will be as bad as a regular traffic pattern. Keep you radio tuned to News Talk 750AM WSB, for your best traffic information.

she needs to come here early Wednesday or late tomorrow, because the airports are going to be busy and traffic is going to stink.

Think of Friday at Rush hour. 285 is like that , until it gets dark. People will be trying to get home or leave town. Go early morning, or after 8pm.

It will be hell. It s awful every day. Worse than L.A.

well considering its a holiday i think any where the traffic will be up... duh
