Things to do and good restaurants around CUS? -

Hey folks :) I am coming into Chicago this Friday by Amtrak, and I have 6 hours to kill between 930 am and 330 pm any suggestions of places to get a good meal? And I know about Willis Tower, what are some other things that I could do to kill some time? Thanks

There are a lot of attractions in the wonderful city of Chicago, yes you can see the willis tower (but we still call it the sears tower) but that costs a lot. Most of the attractions are downtown and some of them are: Millenium and Grant Park, The museums(Field Museum, Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry [which isn t in downtown], Art Museum who just built a Modern wing, MCA [museum of Contemporary Art]) you can see the zoos, Brookfield Zoo and Lincoln Park zoo, The baseball stadiums, Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular (Comiskey), You can empty you re wallet on Michigan Ave, you can shop some more on State, you can visit the Chicago Theater, or see the bears lose at Soldier Field. To see a great view of Chicago you can go to the John Hancock Tower and go to the top, go in through the side and not to the observation deck there you can go up to the restaurant and see the view for free, you might get kicked out if you don t buy something and you can just buy a drink but everyone in your group has to purchase something. For food you can get some Chicago style food, try out Portillo s downtown, they have a hot dog with all the trimmings, which if you didn t know already are onions, neon relish, tomatoes, a pickle, celery salt, sport peppers and mustard all on a hot dog in a poppy seed bun, You can also try another Chicago food at Portillo s the Italian Beef. Or you can go to Giordano s, Lou Malnati s, or Pizzeria Uno s for a deep dish pizza. Another non-Chicago style restaurant that in downtown that I like is Heaven on Seven
