Should i be able to go to Florida? -

ok so i m 17 and my dad is going to florida and i wanted to go and he said no because he s going to be out of the house working most of the time. and i said that i could just stay in the hotel the whole time maybe swim, just basically hand in the nice hotel. He still said no because i m too good of a kid and i would know what to do if i got caught up in a bad situation because i was raised in a rich area. I just need some supportive reasoning from other unbiased people. I m a really good kid get great grades and never break rules

your dad is correct you will be feeling bored as he will be busy with work. However, if you still want to go talk to dad and ask him to take with you. Make it a point that you want to be with him and will listen to what he say..Hope your dad listen to you and you reach Florida with him

well i live in florida and what part is he going to? Jacksonville (where i live) if you look up is the murder capital of the US and then you have miami lots of immigrants and drugs! We cant leave out Ft. Lauderdale lots of gays there! and your dad probably doesn t want to take care of anybody on his trip and you should respect that!

Your dad wants you to be safe because it s not about how kind you are, he can t handle two responsibilities that s why. So try to think of the situation where your father is so busy and doesn t have time for you.

Parents are humans too... he wants a break from you and doesn t need anymore stress than he is probably already under... stop only thinking about your side of it and maybe later you can talk about a family vacation...

yeah why not. take a break and chill and enjoy the hotel amenities.
