Try walking down 18th St in Adams Morgan, then go east on U Street NW, then walk south on 14th St to P. That will give you a nice taste of DC nightlife.See http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/neighand http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/neigh for other DC neighborhoods. There s also Georgetown (Wisconsin and M) and 7th St in Penn Quarter for nightlife, but those aren t hipster - they are more mainstream.

I miss the hipster vibe and all the vintage shops on south street ever since I moved to DC. is there any similar kind of hipster off beat area in DC?
