Moving To Colorado (Denver Area) amp; Need To Know About Taxes!? -

I m moving from SC to CO in a couple months and I m a little unsure about how different taxes are and what I can expect. In SC, I pay about $850 on a $250k home in property tax. I pay about $300 on a $20k new car a year. I pay about $450k a month on home insurance. Is there anything else I should know? I m assuming there are property taxes on cars in CO? Thanks!

Property tax on a 250K home in metro Denver , depending on the county $1800-$2500 per year. Personal tax on vehicles a depends on the age of the vehicle. and value. My 2009 Ford Focus was about $300. Home owners in about $1200 a year.

Things are going to be more- the exact figures were close from the person below (I moved from NC to Colorado last year myself), dont forget to factor in too gas taxes being a lot more (plan on paying about 30-40 cents more a gallon- or whatever nc is paying is about the same). To register your car, your looking at paying around the same though- I just got a new car myself, and it was 400 (I bought an suv so it was about 8K more than your car though). Hope that helps.
