Where can I park at Miami Beach on Newyears day ? -

FOR FREE!

305-673-park(that s the # to Miami Beach parking department....they can tell you all the places you can park for free or at a low cost) have fun! I love Miami!

There s very little public parking on the streets of South Beach. There is a considerable amount of parking in public lots garages which are distributed around south beach. Go to the city parking web site for a map of parking lots garages rates:http://web.miamibeachfl.gov/parking/ Most charge $1.25 an hour you can pay by credit card.

Call (305) 673-PARK. That is Miami s phone number for parking. But I really doubt you can find any place but you can still try.

I am taking my son to the Smithsonian in a few weeks and would like to know a good place to stay outside? -

of DC so that we can save money on the hotel but also be not too far to drive to one of the train stations or whatever the public transportation is that will take us easily and cheaply to the Smithsonian.

Arlington, Virginia is what you are looking for. The hotels are quite a bit less expensive than those downtown, and as long as you select a hotel near a Metro subway station, you can quickly and easily get down to the National Mall and the various Smithsonian Museums. Go into any of the hotel locator websites, such as travelocity.com or hotels.com and look for hotels in the Crystal City, Rosslyn, or Ballston neighborhoods of Arlington. All are safe areas with many amenities, such as restaurants and shopping, and the hotels clustered around the station are within a couple of minutes walk to Metro. Most of the hotels also offer free parking (although you won t need your car, unless you want to drive to someplace further out, such as Mount Vernon).

When I visited DC, I had to drive back and forth from Virginia. Get a rental car for the weekend and give yourself enough miles on the car so you can have fun seeing museums. Go early in the morning for a parking space in one of the lots. Before 6am. Stay in town until after 5:00pm so that you will miss most of the traffic leaving the city. Most of the people working in DC live outside of DC and commute. That s why I drove from Virginia. The further away you stay at a motel from DC, the cheaper the rates. You could get a travel and car rental deal through a travel agent?

What restaurants in Austin can you sit on the floor? -

What restaurants in Austin can you sit on the floor? (preferably not japanese or chinese), unless thats the only option?

How about Korean?Dk Sushi Bar Seoul Restaurant6400 S 1st St 512-326-5807 Korea Garden - floor seating with a BBQ grill6519 N Lamar Blvd 302-3149 Traditional Japanese-Kyoto Japanese Restaurant315 Congress Ave 512-482-9010 You could also picnic in a park...

Well you CAN sit on the floor in any restaurant. It doesn t mean you won t get laughed at or that the floor will be clean. Try sitting under the table and maybe no one will notice. Especially if there s a long tablecloth - it will be like your own fort.

I know of an Ethiopian restaurant on I-35, and as I remember they had a table with cushions.Sitting on the floor is not commonplace in American restaurants. The Chinese to not practice this, but Japanese do.

Ichiban (yes, it s Japanese for Number One ) and it s on Burnet Road
