In the movie, 60B is presumed to be near Elizabethtown, KY, which is a real city. Parts of the movie were actually shot in that city. However, the 60B sign was made as a wooden prop just for the movie and doesn t actually exist in real life. If it was real, the sign would certainly be mounted onto a metal post, like all other road signs.
