United Palace Theater in New York City - stage door, anyone? -

I have never attended a show here before and my friend and I are willing to wait for as long as it takes to get an autograph from a favorite performer of ours (if he will oblige). Does anyone with experience at the venue know where it s located and/or have experiences with it?Thank you!

Well, until someone comes along with a better answer I ll chime in.The theater is in Washington Heights at the corner of 175th Street and Broadway. To get there you can take the A train to 175th St. and head east. Ticketmaster has more travel info here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/United-Palac[Meanwhile, some interesting places nearby are the remnants of the Audubon Ballroom (Broadway at 165th Street) where Malcolm X was shot, High Bridge Park, the Pinehurst staircase, the George Washington Bridge and the Little Red Lighthouse (pedestrian access from 181st St.).]Here s the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_PalaAnd here s a map with Street View showing where it is: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q source=sThere may be a service entrance on 176th St. which is the stage door you re looking for.

How far is Yakima from Seattle? -

please answer fastdetails too

About 140 miles. If you take a Greyhound bus, it takes about 3 hours with a quick layover in Ellensburg, Washington. The cost is about $50.00 round trip. You can also take an airport shuttle from SEATAC airport to the Yakima airport. The light rail will get you to the airport. Alaska Airlines has flights between SEATAC and the Yakima airport. If you drive, you should find out what the pass conditions are since you will be driving through the Cascade mountain range. If the passes are closed, you can drive around, but that s a five hour trip. (It s very beautiful, however around the South end of the range.

Total Travel Estimate: 2 hours 17 minutes / 142.64 miles http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Yakima 1s=WA 1y=US 1l=46.6022 1g=-120.5047 1v=CITY 2c=Seattle 2s=WA 2y=US 2l=47.6064 2g=-122.330803 2v=CITY
