I am thinking of moving to Denver, CO area from CA. I need a great school system, and affordable.. any advic? -

What things are to do in Denver what Activities? I would love to talk with someone from Denver area to get an idea of what towns around Denver are like. We prefer not to live in a huge city.. so something outside and close to Denver would be great, but we do need to be located in a great school system yet affordable, and a great place to raise kids. We would probably rent for a year when we arrive. Any opinions, links or advice?!

check out Lakewood, Arvada, or Littleton. These are on the west side of Denver. Of the 3, littleton has the best schools.

denver has great schools. i am a realtor in the area. if you would like some advice or are interested in taking advantage of the first time homebuyer,or repeat homebuyer tax credits,i would love to help! colorado also offers some great loan programs through CHFA! amandaroseRE@gmail.com. good luck! Castle Rock, 30 min. south of Denver Small town atmosphere. Great schools, friendly people. Voted one of the top 10 family friendly town in the US http://www.townofcastlerock.org

Centennial/Aurora, nice neighborhoods and safe. Personally I think the Cherry Creek School District is great!

I live in Elizabeth, it s a small town about an hour south east of Denver. We just got a Walmart so we re not too big. The schools are fairly good, some teachers should be fired but most of them are 10-yeared. The good thing about that is that you learn to build a tolerance. I used to have a short fuse but going through school, I have definitely gotten some patience. You might think that a small town won t have drug problems, but we do. On the other hand, the kids are great! We have teachers that drive 2 hours one way just so they can teach the kids. There is nothing but good feedback for the students. Taxes here are pretty low, at least they were. Right now, they are about 8% because of all the democrats moving here. We used to be strictly conservative (with the exception of a few people). The weather here is great too, and it s a wonderful learning experience for kids. We have blizzards all the time in the fall, winter, and spring but the sun is usually out during that time. In the summer, there are tornadoes, my parents taught me about those right when one was about to land on our house. The rain, thank goodness, never lasts too long. It rains for about 30 min. tops. Nothing is too far away in Colorado. One day you can go skiing and the next you could be climbing a massive sand dune. There is so much to do here! I recomend it 100%!!!

Is Las Vegas romantic for an anniversary vacation? -

I have never been there but I always think of Vegas as all glitz and no substance, which is not really romantic to me. I guess I think it s a party town, more for young people raising hell. However, everyone who s been there says it d be a great place to go for our anniversary trip. What s your opinion?

Would you consider it romantic to sit on the edge of a lake as you have dinner? You can do that at more than one restaurant at Bellagio. Or perhaps a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower? (OK, it s not the real Eiffel Tower but boy it looks like it and when you re with someone you love it is romantic. I know, been there done that.) Las Vegas can be very romantic. Get a room with a view and just order room service. (one of my favorites)Check out this site for some other ideas. Look closely at the wedding section.http://www.smart-tourist.org/lasvegas/

I depends on your concept of romantic . It certainly can be. If you stay in a hotel like the Venetian, enjoy any of the various shows together, eat at the fancy hotels together etc. It has plenty of everything. I recommend a sunset dinner at the Top of the World restaurant high atop the Stratosphere tower. It slowly rotates 360 degrees, almost imperceptibly, and the views and colors are extremely romantic. The service is excellent as well. Afterward, you can visit the observation deck or even go on the thrill rides on the roof if that floats your boat. There are trendy clubs, raucous party bars, quiet lounges etc. all kinds of entertainment possibilities. And of course, shopping like you have never seen before. Don t forget the spas. Go and get pampered! Not very many destinations that can offer all of that.*

You can t really summarize Vegas as any one thing. There are many choices in Vegas. If you re looking for a lot of excitement and lots of things to do, it would be a great choice. If you stay at a place like Bellagio or Venetian or the Wynn, you could avoid the hell-raising young people. They tend to stay at Hard Rock or the Palms or Planet Hollywood. If you re looking to spend a lot of quiet time together, there are probably better choices. Maybe a cruise or a Caribbean beach resort.

We went for our 10th anniversary, and it was the perfect trip for us. We are not into partying, but we had a great time together. We had a really nice dinner at Delmonicos (one of Emeril s restaurants), but some other romantic places would be Top of the World at Stratosphere (revolving restaurant at the top of the tower), the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris, and Mon Ami Gabi at Paris (particularly the patio, where you can watch the Bellagio fountains across the street). There are romantic and classy hotels like Bellagio, Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, and Caesars, which can make the trip romantic. We stayed at Venetian on our anniversary trip, and it was a wonderful place. We did the gondola ride there, which was really nice. There are tons of shows you can see together - funny, classy, whatever. There are so many from which to choose! Phantom of the Opera is a great romantic show, but some other good ones include the Cirque shows, Lance Burton, Penn Teller, Jersey Boys, Blue Man Group...just to name a few. We also did a Grand Canyon helicopter tour, which was amazing. They also do nighttime helicopter tours of the strip, and you can get packages that include champagne and things like that. There are lots of sights to see on the strip, and lots of things to do. You don t have to be big into partying or gambling to enjoy Vegas. We had a great time, and it s one of our favorite vacation spots.

Las Vegas is very much a party town. That said, the city has all the elements required and the ability to become one of the most romantic destinations in the continental United States. It all depends on what you plan for yourselves and how much you plan to spend. Romance is more about what you do, the manner in which it is done, and who you are with, and less about where you are.

Lot of people get married here, so there is some romance. I love it here and live here. If you are free spirited you will enjoy your visit. If you are two Bible belters from middle American it will be a turn off to you. Not knowing that much about your background it is hard to categorize if you will or not be happy.

It can be very romantic if you do it right. You can enjoy a luxurious hotel suite, get massages, dine at a different 5-star restaurant and see a different world-class show every night of your stay.

you will have fun, and you will be with each other doing it. But you are right, it is a party town, but with tons and tons and TONs of things to do.Did I mention there s tons of things to do?

It Is A PERFECT Romantic City

Its really fun and you can make it romantic in your room and by going to shows together!

You should consider doing a renewal of vows.....I would reccomend prob. the chapel of the flowers...

You d be correct.
