No, it did not snow here. We just received a lot of rain. There are plenty of shows going on here - from the Alabama Theater to the Palace. There is shopping at the Tanger Outlets, Coastal Grand Mall, or Broadway at the Beach. House of Blues and the Alligator Adventure at Barefoot Landing. Tour Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park. Walk around and see the construction on the new Boardwalk being built in downtown Myrtle Beach. If you are going to be here New Years Eve, they are having a party downtown. Explore the new Market Commons, play miniature golf, play laser tag at Surf s Up, eat at the many restaurants. You can still enjoy time walking on the beach and the numerous piers. Be sure to ask the staff at the hotel you are staying at for recommendations and deals. (stay away from anything related to time-shares =)
You could fly into Tacoma, Olympia or Seattle. All are about 2 1/2 -3 hours away by car. Or, fly into Victoria, BC, which is 1 1/2 hours away by ferry. However, you ll be entering and leaving another country, so if there are immigration/visa issues you might want to avoid this.
POrt angeles? Like Twilight?? That s in Seattle, fly from SF to Seattle for 1.5 hours and then driver another hour or so.. You can always drive from Sf to Seattle, but it s a very long drive.
There is no Port Angeles in California. Never heard of it.
