Florida or new york which is best? -

I may be going holiday soon to america and these are our to possible destinations, we like florida due to the warmth, and new york because it y know new york...but which would be best for two cultured adults and a 15 yr old girl..?don t say either because you live there tell us honestly since were coming from england and we don t wanna be disappointed.

New York has lots of cultural amenities, that being said, Florida has plenty of it s own, however, they are spread out across a large state. Florida has it s beaches, but NYC is close to Fire Island, which has great beaches too, but it is only warm enough for swimming from June to September

Florida is warm but also very humid. If youre going in the winter, it is more bearable. Although, there is nothing like Christmas in NYC.Ive noticed that people in the UK only know about 3 places in the US to visit, while there s a lot of great areas to travel to, in the US.Ive been to both, and would pick neither in all reality.If you go to Florida, you have the theme parks and the beach.If you go to NYC, you have mostly walking around and viewing the city..which will leave you in awe. Museums, Shows, Shopping. Since you say, cultured adults , Im thinking NYC rather than sliding down Splash Mountain at DisneyWorld. Two very different kinds of vacations. I live in Miami. There s so much to do and you can always go to the beach. New York is overrated.

Where is a good neighborhood to live , in sacramento, ca? -

moving from houston to sacramento i would love to know some good neighborhoods to look for an apartment...

If you actually want to live in downtown sacramento the best area is Eastern Sacramento, the houses are really nice and the neighborhoods are clean i have many friends that live over there. If you are looking for a suburb of sacramento it all depends on how much you can afford, Folsom is really good area but if you can afford it there is El Dorado Hills which isn t even in sacramento county but its still really nice up the hill a few mins.

Northern Sac is probably the best. It s very clean, new, and peacful. Apartments would be great in North Highlands.

What is the land in Louisiana like? -

I am writing a story set in the parish of Ascension for my coursework and I have no idea how to describe the area, is it green and grassy? Bare and dry? Literally any brief description would help Thank you x

It is very flat and soggy. When you walk on it, it feels springy and soft. If you dig you will probably hit water. We have to drive pilings deep into the ground before we build anything, and a lot of the cemeteries have graves above ground. There are bayous everywhere. In southern Louisiana, it rarely freezes, so the grass stays green, and the kudzu is taking over a lot of rural areas. There are beautiful cypress trees in the swamps, with knees sticking above the water so the tree s roots get air. The big oak trees have spanish moss draping from the branches, swaying in any breeze. Think of being in a hothouse...that is what it feels like and smells like here. Lush.

I live next to Ascension in Livingston parish go shopping mainly in Ascension =3In general, it can be damp. We have large rivers several canals. It rains alot in during some seasons sometimes it even floods peoples yards who live next to water sources.In the cities of Ascension its pretty typical. Southern Louisiana has lush greenery, humid air, nutrient rich soil, so most city areas typically bring in that luck have plants everywhere. They seem like other cities I ve been too but with more plant life.
