Question about crossing the border in San Diego.? -

I was once coming back by foot after a day trip to Tijuana. I was waiting in line, ( a long line) some white americans were just skipping the line.I am white and legal in the US, I was wondering if that was something you could or should do and if its normal. Certainly will save me some time next time, but then I have zero interest at the moment with all the crime.

I used to skip the line if it was over half an hour long.One of my sons has a legal right to move ahead and use the handicap entrance.That s the Only way you can take cuts that I know of.I remember getting lots of dirty looks from the people that waited.Some people even made rude comments to us.But the health of my child comes 1st.So we take cuts.( we might have been the people you saw - One guy and his three teenage sons )

Used to be that the tour buses would just go through the border in a special lane, where the immigration officer would just board the bus and ask to see everyone s documentation. They would then be waved through. These days (since 9/11), they make people get off the bus and go through the pedestrian line. But, they may shuttle them through quickly in a special line.A few years ago, I went into that building where they check the pedestrians. There was a line that wasn t blocked off (on the far left), there was no one in it, and no immigration officer. So, my wife and I just walked over to that line and made our way to the exit. No one ever stopped us or looked at our documents. It took us less than 5 minutes to get through the border on an otherwise very busy day.

Can someone tell me if this is a safe area to take the train to in brooklyn? -

I was suppose to take the Q train to parkside ave to see a girl that I talk to.me and her been talking for a while.after I take the Q train to parkside ave,I have to walk down ocean ave two blocks.her building is on ocean ave and crooke ave.my friend said not 2 go cause he heard the area is real bad.can anyone tell me if the area is bad and if I should go or not?

Go in a armored tank I tell you!!!Just kidding!I live in Brooklyn and as any area anywhere it can be dangerous but its not always so.If it was any other time of the year i would say go whenever you feel like.Around the holidays people with financial problems go nuts and hunt the streets.It s a ok area, its near a park so don t go there alone too late.Just be careful, don t stay out too late be sure to tell someone where your going to be incase anything ever happends (which it shouldn t- better safe than sorry,ya?)Hope you have a good meet with your lady friend

Driving and Drink if having a holiday in the U.S? -

Ok, since im an Australian citizen, and im 18, its legal for me to drive or drink. Im planning a holiday to the U.S next year, what happens then? Am I allowed to hire a rental car or buy alcohol over there or what?

nope ur not aloud to rent a car or drink..have to be 21 to purchase alcohol and 25 to rent a car in the US. you can drive though

Allowed to by alcohol? Nope.Allowed to rent a car? Yes BUT the rental agencies are also allowed to not rent to you. Most will not rent to anyone under 21. Some will rent to drivers under 25 but charge a crazy extra daily fee. You can rent a car at 18 in New York but again, it is so expensive as to be prohibitive.

You can drive if u have a license and proper insurance coverage but you can t drink until you are 21... and rent a car until 25... depending on where you are you can sneak down to Mexico with your passport and drink and party lol

my son is 22 yrs old he rented a car but they will charge you extra money cause you are under 25 yrs old, you are not allowed to drink here un the US you have to be 21 to drink and to buy alcohol
