Giving out socks for the homeless in San Francisco..? What part of Sf? Good idea or not ? -

We have about 80 pairs of socks, and since it s almost christmas, a few teenagers from church are going around San Francisco handing out free socks with food and a candycane for homeless people in San Francisco.Is this a good idea?Christmas= giving, and sharing the love :)BUT WHERE SHOULD WE GO ?What streets? Thank youu !

Main plaves, my reccomendation would be to travel in a group though because some of the places are extremley dangerousand your teenage lovw giving could be robbed @ gunpoint of all its socks and have them be sold for crack. Be careful and happy holidays.

Should we move to Southern Oregon or Northern California? -

We live in Chicago and are looking to relocate out west. Need advice on best places for new families; major differences between the two areas/states; finding a Union Electrician job; environmental law differences; etc. Your personal advice and knowledge is much appreciated.

Job wise, why doesn t your husband contact his local union rep for job opportunities on the west coast. What s he with the IBEW? If so they have National alliances which may help him. In Northern California I have stayed in McKinleyville, Arcata and Rio Dell. They re gloomy places. In fact anywhere affected by Humbolt Bay has weird weather. I ve seen where San Francisco is 81 and sunny, Crescent City is 80 and sunny and in Eureka is 61 with drizzle. This section of California leaves a lot to be desired.Oregon on the other hand has my favorite coastal town, Waldport. I was going to spend a night there and wound up staying a week. Waldport is a beautiful small town.Now Oregon or California in general? Californa just has so many problems at the state fiscal level and you know eventually you are going to have to pay higher taxes, so I would opt for Oregon overall.

How do I get from Denver to Colorado Springs? -

anyone know how to get from Denver to Colorado Springs? I plan to take a trip up there soon and would like to know the best way to get from the air port to an area within a few miles of Garden Of the Gods. I have never taken a plane anywhere in my life, and have never left the state before. Details please details!

There are several buses that go to Colorado Springs leaving from Greyhound terminal, Union Station and the airport in Denver. Many of the bus companies run tour buses to sites in colorado springs. You have to call around and see. In good weather, you can ride a bike out to Garden of the Gods. Me, I have always drove.

Frex busses are the easiest, then you can take local springs busses from there- google the routes and times for both of them. otherwise drive i-25.

If you re going to hang out in the Springs, fly into Colorado Springs airport instead of Denver. It will probably be cheaper

It s just about an hour drive south on I-25 to get to Colorado Springs, very simple.
