What Christmas gift should I give my girl from Hawaii? -

What Christmas gift should I give my girl from Hawaii? So basically I will be going to Hawaii for winter break, but will be back for Christmas. What special gift should I get from Hawaii to give to her? Something symbolic and thoughtful please! Because I don t know much about Hawaiian culture. Please, someone help me out! Thanks! :)

Go to one of the places that sells locally made products. Some names: Nohea Gallery (Ward Warehouse), Martin MacArthur (Ala Moana Center or Ward Center), Jeff Chang s (Ward Center) or Na Mea Hawaii (Ward Warehouse). There will be tons of locally made, absolutely beautiful things with a wide range of Price Tags. Surely you will see something that will make you think of your girlfriend. Me, I always like earrings.Edited to add... I don t like to disagree with other posters, but I was in Na Mea yesterday they absolutely do have jewelry.

If you have money to spend, then buy something from Maui Divers Jewelry or Na Hoku.Or for items that won t break the bank, shop at The Islands Best. The places that the first poster suggested are good, but they re a little pricey. And Native Books/Na Mea Hawaii doesn t sell girly things like jewelry. That store has books and food pertaining to the Islands, which I m pretty sure won t make a nice Christmas gift for your girlfriend.

Depends on how much you have to spend. I think silver plumeria jewelry is just lovely. If you can t spend alot you may want to check out the ABC Store they have some nice jewelry. Just pick her out something you think she will enjoy. Who knows you might just find she s thrilled with whatever you got her because you picked it just for her. Hope this helps

Colorado: What is i-70 like this time of year? -

In a couple weeks I am supposed to be driving the stretch of Colorado on that highway... What are the conditions like?

East of Denver, should be clean and dry. West and through the mountains could be snow covered or icy in spots. http://www.cotrip.org

The only part of that really you don t have to worry about large amounts of snowfall is the first ( last ? ) 75 miles from the UT/CO state-line .All of of the rest of I-70 until the CO/KS state-line can and does get hit by blizzards.Do yourself a favor and do not underestimate the danger of winter on the Plains

There s some snow on the road, in a few weeks it will be the same, just colder. It s usually very manageable. (this is the mountain stretch)like was said, on the plains it could go either way
