Is it me or do people die weekly from car accidents in Orlando? -

I have actually seen dead bodies on the side of the road after a fatal accident. It was a head on collision hit and run. The motorcyclist was hit head on and the guy/girl that hit him just went about their business. 2 weeks earlier, at the spot on that road, 4 out of 5 people in a passenger car died in one car at the same curve. It was in Kissimmee, near Osceola Parkway.Why are there so many fatal accidents in Orlando, FL? They are right in your face, multiple times per week. Why?

Florida is one of the top worse driver states maybe that s why. I use to live there (Kissimmee) and it was insane how many times the road would be closed or delays because of a car accident. One time I saw a dead man who was in a motorcycle that got hit by someone who ran the red light. Sometimes a couple times in a day. I also use to live near New York city and I almost never heard of a car accident only in the outskirts and that was once a week - a few people would get run over here and there. The drivers scored poorly on driving test (making them the worst) but I heard of less accidents compared to Florida. I spent 16 years in the Northeast with out a single accident but the minute I moved to Florida and started dating my boyfriend I realized how bad people drive here. I get scared. I ended up in two accidents. One my boyfriend s fault. I refused to talk to him for a week. Worst Drivers: Florida absolutely has the worst drivers. As I learned many years ago when I lived near Tampa, you take your life into your own hands when you get on the Florida Interstates. Why are drivers so bad there? It s a combination of elderly retirees (who don t know where the accelerator is), college kids visiting during spring break (who don t know where the brake pedal is), and out-of-state tourists (who don t know where they re going). The roads in Florida are a real zoo, especially in the spring.

For the same reason there are weekly fatal accidents in all large cities: Law of probability. The more traffic you have, the more likely there will be accidents, including fatal ones.Alidawn makes a good point. There are many out of state and out of country drivers in FL. They might not be familar with FL driving laws and are typicaly distracted becaue they are focused on site seeing or looking for their destination. My husband is from MI and I refuse to drive when we visit his family. There are many driving laws that are very different from what I am used to.

I m sure it has a lot to do with so many people being there all the time (tourists) and those people trying to figure out where they re going, thus paying less attention to what they re doing. However, my dad lives in Florida, and he says that people all over the state are just really bad drivers. I drive some when I visit down there and he told me you NEVER go right away on a green light, you wait for a few seconds, because even after the light turns red there are always another few cars that speed through anyway.

Were is the best mall in the bayarea? -

My ab fab favorite mall is Westfield Valley Fair Mall in San Jose.It has Macy s Women store and a Men s store, Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton, Betsey Johnson, Stuart Weitzman, Tiffany Co., BOSS Hugo Boss, Juicy Couture, Coach, Betsy Johnson, Apple and Kiehl��s.My next favorite is Stanford Mall in Palo Alto. It s an outdoor mall.Macy s Women store and a Men s store, Bloomingdale s, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Crate Barrel, William Sonoma (two stories) Coach, Betsy Johnson, Burberry, and the usual stores plus Sprinkle s cupcakes and Max s opera cafe, PF Chang s and a bunch of other great restaurants.Then there is also Walnut Creek Broadway Plaza. It s an outdoor mall.Macy s Women store and a men s store, Nordstrom, Juicy Couture, Coach, Lucky, Sephora, Banana Republic, Crate Barrel, Barnes and Nobel, Cheesecake Factory, Betsy Johnson.Then of course Mecca... haha Union Square downtown San Francisco.There is Westfield Mall on Market street that has Bloomingdale s and Nordstrom plus all the other mall stores you can think of like Coach, Gap, Victoria Secret ect. Then in the Union Square area there are free standing stores. Macy s Woman store and men s store on Stockton and O Farrell. Barney s on the same corner, urban Outfitters on Powell, Sak s on Post, Neiman Marcus on Stockton and Geary street, Loius Vitton on geary, Sur La Table on maiden Lane, Betsy Johnson, Coach, Juicy Couture, Kenneth Cole, BCBG, G Star. It has everything!!!

the Great Mall in Milpitas is one of my faves- it s HUGE and there are several factory discount places there. Have you noticed lately that ALL malls kinda look the same? I agree with Union Square in downtown San Francisco for the experience....as well as Stanford in Palo Alto...but if just for a big mall...then the others.... But atmosphere.....these are my two pics.

Is it possible for adults (husband/wife, age 37, no children) to enjoy Disney World? -

We were thinking of driving there, staying outside the park, and winging it by buying tickets at the gate for a few days. This would be from 12/27-1/1. We ve never been there before and are driving from NJ. Your thoughts?

Me and the wife are both 62 and we enjoy going to Disney World and other them parks.

of course you can enjoy it and have fun!there are tons of rides and attractions for all ages. i m 23 and i still love going. my sister is 30 and she still loves going. geez my parents are in their 60 s and still love going (just by themselves)but i would advise you to NOT go during that time. from dec 21st to jan 1st is literally the busiest time of the entire year so for your fist time it would be extremely overwhelming. you d have to get there waaaaaaay before the parks open to buy your tickets at the gate cuz there will be a LONG line. plus during that time the parks fill to capacity by noon at the latest so you nned to get in early before the stop letting guests in.i d advise you to either go before dec 21st or after jan 4 cuz thats when the kids go back to school.

Yes you will have a brilliant time at Disney World. The tickets are quite expensive if you are only going for a few days. You might want to check out Universal parks which have amazing roller coasters, rides and attractions. Yes. A person of any age can thoroughly enjoy Disney World. My math teacher from my senior year had never been there before and when he got married he brought his wife there for their honeymoon and you should see the pictures of him. He is a really big man but he seriously looked like a little kid with that huge smile in all of the pictures. Disney is really a magical experience for everyone. Trust me, you will LOVE it!

Disney is over-priced and over-rated. You ll be wasting your time and money going there. Skip Disney and Orlando. There are so many better places in Florida to spend your vacation. Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale have much better attractions and the beautiful beaches, as well.

Definitely more fun without kids! My kids can not always get off from school, so we go without them usually in December. We always have more fun without them, I am kind of ashamed to say. When they are with us, it is always us waiting in line for some characters autograph, or listening to all of them whine. Without them, we go at our own pace and can enjoy the things they find boring. EPCOT is especially fun fun couples sans kids!

Oh defitnely. I am 37 years old and if i did not have kids, i would still go! It s sooooo much fun and if you have never been, you will love it! I have a years pass to Disney and i go without my kids sometimes with my other half!

definitelyDISNEY IS FUN For all agesGo to the Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios and then go to the mini water park either the blizzard beach or the typhoon lagoon. then go to Disney Downtown in evening it is fun.

Disneyworld is fine for adults. You ll enjoy it. You might want to do Epcot too. It s more on the educational side.

Disney brings out the kid in everyone so yeah it s definitely worth it no matter how old you are! If you can afford it that is lol.
