Driving the perimeter of the USA tips? -

I plan on buying a motor-home and traveling the perimeter of the USA for a 4 month period. My trip will begin in about a year. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with driving the perimeter of the US and what i should know before i start. I have also been curious as of where i would be allowed to park my motor-home to sleep for free. Also, what are some recommended stops i should make?

There would be very few places that you d be allowed to park and sleep for free. In most states, it is illegal to sleep in highway rest areas. You may be able to stay in Wal-Mart parking lots, which others have said is a possibility. But even that would be illegal in some places. You d most likely be looking at least an 8,000 mile trip.

here s a suggested stop, a psychiatric hospital.

How would you rank these 6 cities in california ? given the chane to work in any of them? -

BakersfieldCoalingaCypressSacramento CountySanta MariaVenturamy ranking goes like this:1. Sacramento2. Cypress3. Ventura4.Santa Maria5.Baker s field6. CoalingaAny comment or info about any of these cities

1. Ventura (this is my first choice because I enjoyed vacationing there and the people I met who live there said they were glad to live there)2. Santa Maria3. Cypress4. Sacramento5. Coalinga6. Bakersfield (I have a cousin that lived in Bakersfield and he didn t like it there)

If your asking about the ability to find a job, I would rank ALL of them very poor. The unemployment rate in California is almost the highest in the country. Jobs are nearly non existent. You will have EXTREME difficulty finding work here.

My rankings:Sacramento CypressSanta MariaVenturaCoalingaBakersfieldWouldn t even consider the last 2!!
