Charlie is correct and you cannot work on a visitor visa, and probably cannot change visa status while in the USA. However, you can look for work and apply for jobs while in the USA as a visitor (many countries prohibit doing so). Absolutely not. You may not work in the U.S. on a tourist visa. You cannot change your visa status while inside the U.S. unless you declared that intention at the time you first entered the u.S. You may locate an employer ...if you are extremely lucky, but then you must return to your country and wait for the employer to apply for a work visa for you before you may return. Right now, unless you are extremely qualified in a rare job skill, it is nearly impossible for a foreign citizen to get a work visa.
No you can not work on a visitor s visa... and those are not quick and easy to get... run to somewhere else in your country... I m sure there is somewhere there you can go...
