College in florida!?!!? -

so i plan on going to college in florida and maybe having a car (they are allowed). but i lived in pa and the only time i would be coming home is for christmas but i dont want to drive from fl to pa by myself, i plan on flying. while at college i dont want to rely on others to take me places so thats why i want to bring my car. how could i have a car while @school and take a plan home for christmas any sugestions on what i could do with the car?

You are being a little too hasty at this point -- don t you think? You have to allow just certain circumstances to ensue in context with the events themselves. Once you bed into college, things will come verily so more clearly.The car can be used for living while in Florida. So have it there. As long as you can have a port to safely park and keep it, then there is nothing to be concerned about. After all, it is a car, not a close relative or something. When you wish to slip up there to PA, then the plane is always available, too. As time passes over the course of the school year, you will meet people. Things begin to fall into place. And such anxieties as driving from Florida to Pa will become leisurely to you, for you will see how to pace yourself. It won t feel so daunting as you get in rhythm. For example, there is nothing saying that you cannot begin your drive in the early mornings, leaving out just before or just after the morning rush hour. As you proceed up the east coast, you simply do a layover at some hub or metro area to sleep for the night -- then off you go again the next morning ... You will see how very easy it is. The first time out, simply have someone to drive with you -- they don t have to drive; they can just be there riding shotgun with you. Over time, you will get in synchrony with doing this and as well with yourself.Just before sunset approaches you will simply keep your eyes peeled for a motel or hotel, and then take it. Use the sunrise and sunsets as measures when to take off or pull over and sleep while on the highways. Now, too often people make the mistake that they feel they must do the run all the way up the coast in one fell swoop without stopping. This would be crazy doing if you are not accustomed to distance driving. You have to start slowly and then build up like a jazz musician would do a horn or drum solo. See? Leave doing the distances at first to those who are seasoned at this or to professional drivers, like big-rig drivers: they know what they are doing, see? That will come in time.Having a car while in college can be a boon, a tremendous convenience, and an easy way to corral with people with whom you have grown happy to be around there at school. See?Don t sweat what you would do with your car. So long as there are provisions for parking it somewhere secure, then there is nothing to feel need to micro-manage about. Having the car will afford you independence by having it there. And knowing that you can catch the next plane out of Florida in a moment s notice affords independence, too.Do both!

Flashed by streetlight camera? -

A lady I work with asked me if I could bring her home, so I did. She told me it was just a 15 min drive from Elmwood to the Westbank. I told her I wasn t sure but she begged me so I did. I was so scared it was raining so hard, I didn t know where I was. My defrost was broken in my car so I couldn t see out the windows and it was raining so hard I couldn t see much of the road. She told me to turn so I did not being able to see and everything I was going off her word. I turned into incoming traffic so I slammed on my breaks before any cars came and I kinda yanked the wheel to go back into the right area. But when I turned into the wrong incoming lane a flashing camera flashed me. Do you think it flashed my front or the back of my car. We don t have plates on the front so if not Ill be okay but its not fair I didn t run a red light and I couldn t see anything I can barely afford to get by and this is the last thing I need right now.

I m afraid that the only thing you can do is just wait and see if you get the ticket in the mail. On the one hand it s bad waiting to see if the thing is going to show up, but then again at least you have a good shot at it not going in the mail at all. I d say you would be in the clear after giving it 4 weeks. In the meantime, don t waste your time worrying day and night over it; there isn t anything you can do about it until you get a ticket.

Just to be sure you probably need to force out that picture. Traffic cameras can usually only hold twelve to nineteen photos in memory, so you need to get a car (that you aren t affiliate with) and create at least twenty violations so that it forgets about your violation.

probably not flashing at you. Th cameras are usually for red light runners. It was probably taking a picture of someone else.Whatever. Don t come on here and start with the i can t deal with this right now shi8. If you can t afford a little ticket then get a new job rather than complaining to us.

Well if the windows were fogged then they cant see you in the picture, you will get a picture of your car in the mail if you get a ticket. If you cant see you face in the picture then you dont have to pay the ticket.

When it snows in Chicago does the snow stay on the ground very long? -

I mean does it stay around for a week or two or longer? Does it snow quiet a lot in the winter, and is there usually snow on the ground on christmas day. I have seen it in many movies and was wondering if there is a lot of snow and if it stays.

The weather varies so much in Chicago (and many places in the central United States). Sometimes the snow will sit for weeks, sometimes it ll be gone by the next day. Sometimes it ll be cold for a month, then we ll have a week or two of fairly warm weather.Just always remember to bring a coat and if you have a car, have the necessary supplies in there to scrape off your windshield. It ll be cold, there will be snow, but it is constantly changing.

It depends on how warm the ground is. Right now, the ground isn t really frozen through because it s been warm on and off. Later in the season, the snow will stay around if it continues to be cold. It also depends if there is a lot of snow or just a sprinkle. Sometimes when it gets all gray and ugly you wish it would just go away or get a fresh cover of nice, white snow.

Chicago is VERY cold in the winter! It snows alot in chicago, and sometimes the snow stays til atleast april or may. There usually is snow on christmas day.

I hoping and assume that this will be a mild winter but most winters there is snow on the ground for weeks even months.With the exception of plowed and salted streets.
