Does it snow in Texas? -

Are you guaranteed snow every winter in the Dallas/Arlington/Fort Worth area? And I mean a good amount of snow, not just a little bit.

It does snow in Dallas, not very often. If we re lucky (or unlucky) we ll get a couple of inches. Usually it s just ice storms that make the roads extremely bad to drive on. Keep your fingers crossed and you never know.

In Texas, yes (that is, in the Panhandle area of northwest Texas). In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, no.Once in several years, there is a lot of snow in the DFW area. Other years, there will be only a small snowfall that melts very quickly. Some years have no snow at all.Better build that ski resort somewhere else.

it does snow in the DFW area but not a lot. it s nothing like the snow in the northern states and most of the time the ground is too hot for the snow to stick. We did get snow last year (2008) that stuck but by the next couple of days it had melted. Other than that it mostly just ices and hails here. Hope that helps.

it does snow technically like according to weather as freezing temperature-wise, but its nothing like snow in thr north. i live in tx now and it snowed recently and it was nothing like the snow like when i used to live in new york

It does snow, but it s not a guarantee every year. If you want a guarantee, go to Canada.

that area get snow almost every year....the amount just depends on the storm that it comes with

never

No, ask god.

Living in LA - affordability? -

Hi,I have a question: is $4200/month enough for a family with an infant child to have a decent living? Thanks.

It depends on what your idea of decent is. You could have a nice modest living with $4200 (net, after taxes) a month. You can expect to pay at least $1500+ on the westside for a 2 bedroom, more for an apartment with many amenities. It really depends on your expenses and what you consider decent. Be sure to check your credit to make sure there are no mistakes on it that might prevent you from getting a rental. Not all areas of Santa Monica or West LA are nice, some are quite undesirable, so be sure you check out the neighborhood. You might consider Culver City or Palms, too. Safety stats: http://www.lalife.com/Good luck!

Yes, this is plenty to live off of. Because you do have a child, (I don t know if you will be sending him/her to a private or public, let s just say public) you should stay out of West L.A. because you really do not want to be a part of L.A.U.S.D. you may be able to afford a decent apartment in Bev. Hills. Santa Monica is also an excellent place to live in. If you are going to live in West L.A. try to stay in the Century City, and Miracle Mile districts. Good Luck!!! Oh! Yes what that other guy said craigslist.com excellent site. Immeasurably helpful!!!

Yes, but u did not state how many in family besides child. Either way, bring your best wallet to Los Angeles!!!

4200 clear is more than enough

Yes, you should be able to afford a decent 2BR place.Check out westsiderentals.com or craigslist.

If you mean $4200 US dollars then that s PLENTY.Keep in mind a minimum wage job in LA will barely get you $1000 mo.

New orleans to clarksdale then clarksdale to memphis.? -

I will be traveling around the U.S. from april to september 2010.part of my trip is going to be in the south and I really want to visit clarksdale, Mississippi.I have been spending ages trying to find a service that can take me from new orleans to clarksdale (as i wont have a car). but as of yet i havn t found anything.could anybody please tell me the best way of doing this?would I have to go from new orleans to a different delta town and then take a local transport bus to clarksdale?if anybody answering this question could give me some info of a similar service that can get me from clarksdale to memphis that would also be extremely helpful.thanks, Eliot.

Greyhound bus can get you from New Orleans to Clarksdale, MS and then to Memphis. The bus makes multiple stops between N.O. and Clarksdale, and you apparently have to backtrack to somewhere like Vicksburg to get from Clarksdale to Memphis.www.greyhound.com
