Does anybody if theres website where I can get directions from Los angesles to Mexico city ? -

I wanna leave from Los Angeles, CA to Mexico city, MX

I tried Google Maps, but it doesn t have driving directions in Mexico. The most important step is to go east to avoid going down Baja California. Once you get to the main part of Mexico, go south for a long way, and ask directions whenever you find someone to ask. If you don t know Spanish, learn how to pronounce Ciudad de Mexico, which is the Mexican name of Mexico City, so people will know what you re asking.Even though Google Maps doesn t have directions, it does have maps, so you can calculate the directions yourself if you want to, by simply making a list of all relevant roads and alternate routes.

Mapquest and Google do not work for Mexico. See site below. If Jim answers , he will probably recommend driving down the Baja peninsula and taking the ferry over to the mainland, then drive to Mexico /City.

Bing.com is the only good website that will give you directions in Mexico.www.bing.com/maps

just go to mapquest and get driving directions and a map

Moving to Livermore area, would appreciate any advice? -

I will be moving from upstate New York to the Livermore area this spring. I m a female, middle-aged professional, moving out to be with my boyfriend. I m interested in advice from folks who have moved there from out of the area on what you found surprising, great, not so great, or any tips on restaurants, things to do, and most importantly, networking resources for finding a job. (I m a psychotherapist/social worker.) I m sure there will be many differences between NY and CA, and I m looking forward to the adventure. Thanks for any advice (and no, don t move there is not helpful, grin!)

Livermore is a great area. The largest employer is Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This website it good for general all over info on Livemore:http://www.trivalleycvb.com/There are more than 30 wineries in and around Livemore. Learn more about the Lodi Wine Country at http://www.cheers2wine.com/central-coastYou ll find that Livermore has lots of fun things to do and is located not far from San Francisco or the Sierra Nevadas where you will find lots of outdoor activities.

Hi Kate =)I was wondering where you disappeared to... I know nothing about CA, but I saw 2012 over the weekend, and... ummm..... yeah.... hehe.Good luck with your adventure... and don t be a stranger. =)

Dont know why you picked Livermore unless you have a job at Lawrence Labs/UC. I actually think it is closer to Stockton than San Francisco. It is a long way from San Francisco or Berkeley and any culture but if you like the open spaces more, you might like these suburbs. It gets very hot and dry in the summer since it is a long way from the bay. California is not green because it hardly rains, maybe 3 weeks a year in January so don t expect scenery like you have in New York. I do not know any places to go there. If you are from a conservative community politically you will be at home in Livermore. I cannot be of much help but maybe you ll get more info from others. That is just my viewpoint from another part of the bay area.
