After you decide what route yall will be taking you should check out roadsideamerica.com- anytime me and my husband want to go on a road trip we go there and find offbeat roadside attractions. We always have a blast and offers up some funny photo opportunities!Another thing we do will search whatever place we are going events in Google and find random festivals to go to where ever we will be. One year we took a road trip to Virginia Beach and found a reggae festival to go to as well as a Wine Jazz and Art Festival. A few weekends ago we took a road trip to Nashville and found a Beer Bourbon and BBQ festival. You could always try Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville. There s quite a bit to do in those places!
Check out the National Park Service s website at www.nps.gov. Most National Parks are either free or really cheap to get into and there s a ton of variety. You can buy a National Parks Passport for 8 bucks and keep a record of all the places you go to.One that s pretty close by that I would highly recommend is Mammoth Caves National Park in Kentucky. Abraham Lincoln s house in Springfield, IL is pretty cool too.

Gilroy and Morgan Hill have lots of barns and most have houses next to them where the owners live. There is a nice new style red barn on Edmundson in Morgan Hill. A feed and hay barn on Monterey HWY where they sell farm supplies. And if you need an antique barn there is one that is on county property out on Mckean Rd. in South San Jose, turn right on Casa Loma rd. (right where McKean turns into Uvas rd.). Stay on the road past the gate that says residents only and just before you cross the creek there is an old barn on the right.Hope that helps!http://www.examiner.com/x-29058-San-Jose
find a barn, look left and knock on the door to the house, look nice, ask politely and get your interview.
