Does anyone know you need a green sticker on a sandrail to ride in the doones in pismo? -

i traded my dirtbike for a sand rail the sand rail was built from the ground up. does anyone know if i need any kind of stickers to ride it in the doones.

I thought any car could ride on the dunes but I m not sure. When I went, there were lots of different cars there.

I m going to be spending new year 2010 in New York City with my girlfriend, and i m booking it up now as a birthday present for her! Presently the taxi rate is a flat $45 per car, not per person. Add a tip onthat andtolls if you request the quickest rate. there are other less expensive alternatives, but they require shlepping your luggage on the subway.You could look for a hotel in Suunyside or Astoria,or Long island City. These are quenns neighborhoods that are closde to Manhattan but not nearly as expensive.Incidentally, the Times Square scene is not everything that it is cracked up to be. You have to arrive several hours early and there is no Alcohol allowed. An alternative to that may be to reserve a place at a restaurant near the event like TGI Fridays or Olive Garden. There you will be a little more comfortable in an indoors setting that has bathrooms, too. Outside there are none, and if you leave the area you are not allowed back in.I am not trying to keep you away, just warning you a little about what you will find.

A fortune. Do this instead. Take the air train into Jamaica. Take the LIRR from there into Penn Station. Take the Subway uptown. or if you come into Laguardia instead, take the M60 bus into Harlem and take the subway downtown. The cab will be around $50.00 with the tip and you better leave a 15% tip in New York or else. Trust me on that.

I agree with Mary above. I visited NYC from the UK in June. Take the Air Train and Long Island Rail Road to Penn. It will cost less than 10 bucks and you wont get stuck in traffic jams.The Herald Square Hotel is very good. It s in midtown and a couple of blocks from Penn Station. 19 W 31st street. Very clean, modern and well maintained. Very close to Macys and shopping areas. Try booking through expedia or directly with the hotel. Also try www.booking.com.

sk bB4 u get in ... then ask another compare ... Take the underground ... A real eye opener .. NOT as bad as all that ... Be street wise... ie no BLING on display. I travelled Newark to downtown to get a Grayhound bus was very safe like the London underground ... don t take too many chances and it will be fine.

Your best bet is to find a cheap motel on the outskirts of the city, one that offers shuttle service into the port authority.
