Islamorada, or any place on the Keys, is pricier than the mainland. Rent is high. Gas is high. Bread and potatoes are high. If you intend to live by yourself, you probably should earn no less than $20 an hour to live nicely. There s little to do in the Keys besides boating/fishing, snorkeling/scuba diving, or going to Key West to party.
