What are some fun things to do in Boston for little to no money spent? -

Hi. I live in a suburb of Boston.I am 12 years old. I love going into Boston. My parents both work in Boston in the back bay area.My parents don t always want to take me in because we usually end up spending too much money on dinner, transportation(usually I get a charlie card), sometimes we end up shopping and it costs too much, etc. What are some fun things to do on weekends that don t cost anything or that don t cost much? I am not looking for things that you have to have a coupon or have to be a member of something. Thanks, lots o luv, frez

Winter sort of cuts the free stuff way down. In the summer, there are free concerts, movies, street performers at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, the parks are open, etc. You can take a ferry out to Georges Island (where there s a haunted Civil War fort) and other harbor islands, one with swimming. Winter everyone hunkers down inside. Free in winter:Bunker Hill MonumentUSS Constitution and the USS Cassin Young Boston Public LibraryState HouseFirst Night Boston on New Year s Eve. Many free events. http://www.firstnight.org/Low cost:Ice skating on the Frog Pond (Boston Common) Under 13 is free, $4 otherwise. (Plus skate rental if you need to.) http://www.bostoncommonfrogpond.org/hourGet a digital camera and learn to take interesting photos of the city. (Cemetaries and statues look cool in the snow.) Festivals start in the spring. There s the Dragon Boat Festival, Lilac Sunday at the Arboretum, feasts in the North End, etc. Have your parents bring home an Improper Bostonian and a Boston Parent s Paper which both list events. Check Boston Central. http://www.bostoncentral.com/events.phpThe Museum of Fine Arts has a free weekend day every month. Check your local library for museum passes. (BEST deal around!) As an example, check out the ones at the Newton library: http://www.newtonfreelibrary.net/?sec=seCheap places to eat: Chinatown, Quincy Market Food Court, Prudential Food Court. Pizza, Mexican, Chinese, and Thai places are cheap. Anywhere students hang out has cheap food.

I don t know if you have to have a library card but the libraries have deeply discounted and free passes to tons of the museums, it s kind of a coupon but not really. You can pick them up at different branches and they have more info about it at the city of boston website.

Museums, lots of Museums: The MFA (art) Isabella Stuart Gardner (art) ICA (art) The Aquarium, The Science Museum, Harvard and MIT museums, not to mention all the Historical sites; sites along the Freedom Trail, John Adams HouseVisit the Harbor Islands, Blue Hills State reservationshopping, lots of shopping in Quincy Market, Newbury Street or Harvard Square in Cambridge, also visit the insanely overpriced Copley Place Mall (look, don t buy anything) Go to the top of the Prudential Tower for a great view

Would the Vegas sign be a good place to wed? -

My Fiance and I are going to get married in Vegas next August. We were wondering if the Vegas sign was a good idea? Or would it be too crowded? Also, we were looking for more outside (or nice inside) places that weren t cheesy. We don t have much money (that s why we decided Vegas instead of going all out at home). I ve done a lot of online research and just can t find the right place. Thanks!!

There are a lot of people taking pictures there. I would think it would be difficult place for a ceremony.

And other mentioned locations are EXTREMELY expensive...I ll just continue searching Report Abuse

No. It is in the divider in the middle of a highway. There is not a lot of room there and likely the first police officer coming by will chase you off, if not take you to the lockup.

Vegas has a drive-thru chapel with an Elvis look-alike officiating the marriage. I can t think of anything more patriotically American than getting married under such circumstances.

The sign is NOT available for weddings. There is limited parking and it would be a major traffic distraction. Check Las Vegas Springs Preserve

Maybe by the Bellagio Fountains

What is the weather like today in miami? -

Today it was warm, in the mid 80 s, like summer. It has been night for two hours but it is still warm outside, a lot of people are still wearing shorts. You would not need a coat or jacket.

The weather there is mostly 80-85 almost everyday and Im not sure when its cold but at the night its like 70-74.

Right now it is 79 degrees (high: 83, low:73) 8:04pm
