I like it here - except for the weather! It s really hot and gets awfully humid in the summer. In the winter the average temperature is in the low 50s and in the summer the mid 80s. It usually gets into the 100s for several weeks of the year, though.The cost of living is one of the lowest in the country, so that s a really good thing,There are several colleges and universities, good schools (somewhat depending on the school district, but overall it s good).The lifestyle is very casual and relaxed, it depends a little on where in the city you live, but basically everyone wears jeans or shorts when they re not working. People are friendly and polite.San Antonians love to eat and to party! Any excuse the city has to make a party, it s on! There are parades, street parties, holiday celebrations, rodeo, art fairs, you name it. The main evens are of course the annual rodeo in February and the 10 day long Fiesta celebration in April. San Antonio knows how to throw a party, and there is something for the whole family.San Antonio people are also really good at being tourists in their own city. Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the river walk, the spas... they re all frequently visited by the locals as well as the tourists.What I like best about the city is the cultural diversity. Although about 50% of the population is of Hispanic origin, SA really is a melting pot for all kinds of cultures. There are all sorts of colors and cultures represented.
