Are these nyc high schools good? please help..10 pts? -

do i need to give interviews for any of them

First of all, don t let people confuse Manhattan Hunter Science High School with Hunter College High School. The first one (the one on your list) is a fairly mediocre school. The second is an outstanding school, but you must apply in 6th grade (it goes from 7th to 12th grade, unlike most high schools in NYC.)The only school on your list that I think a lot of is Beacon. I ve heard some good things about Environmental Sciences, but honestly, it doesn t appeal to me.What are your interests? Have you toured any of these schools? Did you score well enough to get into a screened program (like Beacon)? You should check out a website called insideschools.org There you will find information on how to select a high school and great reviews of high schools. (This site is run by a not-for-profit agency, btw.Good luck.

How much are lift tickets around Lake Tahoe? -

For some reason, I cannot find a straight answer online.

Completely depends on the resort, whether it is holiday weekend, and how old you are. Most resorts crank up the prices around New Years, Martin Luther King Day, and Presidents Day. Most also offer 4 age categories: Kids, Teens, Adult, and Seniors. Assuming you are an adult, a single day ticket is going to run you $60-$80 depending on the above factors. If you buy multi-day tickets, the price per day goes down. For example, at Sierra-at-Tahoe, a single day is $69 and 3 day pass is $135 (or $45 per day). At any rate, you can buy tickets online from the resorts or sometimes you can get discounted tickets at grocery stores or Costco. These are the bigger and nicer resorts. There are some other small ones that are cheaper, but they are a waste of time IMO.Sierra-at-Tahoe http://www.sierraattahoe.com/info/winterHeavenly http://www.skiheavenly.com/plan-your-triSugar Bowl http://www.sugarbowl.com/ticketsSquaw Valley http://www.squaw.com/lift-ticket-ratesNorthstar http://www.northstarattahoe.com/info/skiAlpine Meadows http://www.skialpine.com/ski-tickets/lif

HOLIDAY NEW YORK!? help? -

hey guys so my mum has finally caved in and said she will take me and my sister to new york we are so excited!so if anyone has been befor where have you stayed and how long for? where would be the main places to Visit etc ect any info please share?xx

We just got back from NYC about 3 months ago and I m definitely going back! We were there for 3 days, but I think 5 days should be enough. Get the 3+ day NewYorkPass, it will save you a lot of money! http://www.newyorkpass.com/ Also, buy your NYC T-shirt ( 5 for 10.99) at Times SQ.Around Empire State building, they have a lot of cheap NYc sounviers. Hotel wise, book early. We stayed in Chinatown (Hotel 91) but it s clean and fairly cheap- though you can heard the subway at night, it didn;t bother us. Becareful of big and cheap hotel, I heard it s not clean,, The last thing you want is to bring home some bed bugs.Broadway Show: If Wicked was too expensive ( it was for us), so we went to see Fuerza Bruta , we got a coupon online and pay half price =) so check online! .. Let put it this way, we will never forget this show.. we had a blast!http://www.broadwaybox.com/ ? for cheap shows! Ps. We finally watched Wicked In San Francisco, it was great!

If you re coming to NY, I seriously suggest you go see The Rockettes and the giant Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. I ve been all over NY, and Manhattan is definitely the place to be... if you like huge crowds and big shows. If you re looking for something calmer, ice skating in Bryant Park, I think... And of course, if none of those fit then you can just hang out on 42nd St/ Times Square. shopping central. great displays during the holidays.I ve actually seen the Rockettes every year since I was 6, and they never get old. It s so classic. New York City Ballet is good too. I saw the Nutcracker last year and it was so cool. You d totally love it. Hope I helped! Have fun!
